Born Sean Michael Leonard Anderson on Detroit's west side, Big Sean turned a freestyle outside a Detroit radio station into a handshake deal with Kanye West and a G.O.O.D. Music contract that launched one of hip-hop's most consistent careers. His 2011 debut "Finally Famous" announced a sharp, witty MC who could hold his own alongside the genre's biggest names — and he's never let up since. His albums "Hall of Fame," "Dark Sky Paradise," and "Detroit 2" all debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, making him one of the few Detroit artists to achieve that feat multiple times. "Detroit 2" in particular was a love letter to the city — featuring local legends and drawing on the resilience that defines the 313. He remains one of the most streamed Detroit artists of all time.
